You know those movies where you watch and think, this isn’t bad, but everyone one involved with this movie has done something much better. So, you stick around through the end hoping by some magical act of faith, the cast and crew will produce a humdinger of an ending that will justify the existence of the movie you’re watching. “Burke and Hare” was exactly one of those movies. The one you’ve never heard of until you see it on the shelf at Blockbuster and think, hey that looks promising….famous last words.

‘Ice Age: Continental Drift’ (2012) review
Kids are pretty easy to please. So, you’d think the formula for a blockbuster animated movie would be pretty easy. Solid animation, which shouldn’t be hard considering the millions of geeks who can perform quality grade animation without Hollywood’s help; throw in some talking animals, the more unique the better; cast some popular Hollywood actors, who parents may recognize before the kids; put them all in an easy to follow plot that is one part adventure, one part friendship lesson and one part morality tale. Surely, I’m not the only one that has this figured out. The “Ice Age” creators apparently haven’t.
‘Savages’ (2012) movie review
Director Oliver Stone hasn’t made a badass movie for years. His sequel to “Wall Street” a couple of year ago was solid but lacked electricity. I’m not talking the kind of electricity he used to churn out when he was tripping balls filming movies like “Natural Born Killers” either. It just seems that his recent movies have been a little…generic. Thankfully, “Savages” proves that the director may still have a few tricks up his sleeve.
