‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ (2012) movie review

We’re living in an age of reboots and remakes. It’s not that the Spider-Man remake or reboot– whatever they’re calling it– isn’t warranted, it’s just the fact that it would have been better if it was done under the Marvel Studios banner and not Sony. But it is what it is and we get “The Amazing Spider-Man” the first in the rebooted series following the trilogy directed by Sam Raimi. The new flick stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, who are both very good actors.

Considering the talent, ‘The Watch’ is hard to watch– movie review (2012)

Wow. Remember when Ben Stiller used to be funny? Don’t think too long and hard, you might hurt yourself. At one time though, Stiller was a pretty funny dude. C’mon– admit it– “Zoolander”, as goofy as it is…is pretty hilarious. The same goes for Vince Vaughn. He’s another guy that was usually pretty solid even in bad movies. ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ brings Nolan’s trilogy to an epic ending — movie review

Christopher Nolan certainly had his work cut out for him following the unbelievable box office and critical success of “The Dark Knight” in 2008. He is also working with the pressure that three-quels– especially in the super hero genre– hardly ever work. Incredibly with “The Dark Knight Rises”, he is able to deliver a fitting, even if bloated, final act to his “Dark Knight trilogy” that is sure to set one hell of a bar for the remainder of the DC Comics family to try and live up to.
