You would think that Tim Burton and Johnny Deep teaming up to do a story about vampires love story that spans centuries would be the perfect movie for them. I thought so, too. I was wrong. What started out on paper with promise hit screens with a great big snooze. “Dark Shadows” is based on a TV show that was on the air before I was born. I’d say that people who watched the vampire soap opera might be able to appreciate it more than I did, but judging from those that I’ve talked to, that isn’t the case. ‘Marvel’s The Avengers’ might be the best comic book movie of all time
I know there is a huge debate about whether or not “The Avengers” has unseated “The Dark Knight” as the greatest super hero movie of all time but I do feel it is the best ‘comic book movie’ that has ever hit theatres. Trust me, there is a difference in there somewhere. Director Joss Whedon did what no one thought he could do and that is take a collection of heroes who have all had their own big screen adventures and put them into one big bad movie. ‘American Reunion’ (2012) movie review
You know how when you’re in high school and everything seems so great. It seems like you’ll cherish those memories and those friends forever. As time goes on, you miss the people, the parties, the craziness and think, “man, if I could only go back and relive that time”. Then your high school reunion comes along and you think, “hmm. those people aren’t as much fun as I remember”? In fact some of them are kind of on the douche bag side, making you wish you still only had the high school memory because it’s just not fun anymore? That pretty much sums up “American Reunion”.
