I’m not going to lie. I’m not a “Star Trek” loyalist. Loved the show when I was little, but I’ve always sided on the “Star Wars” side of that debate. So I went into “Star Trek into Darkness” having loved J.J. Abrams first adventure mostly because it was a departure from the yawn inducing movies that were the previous films. I’m happy to say that I loved this movie — for the most part. Sure, there are some dull moments and some that don’t quite work dramatically, but it is a hell of a sequel.
Yes, Benedict Cumberbatch is awesome as….well, you’ll have to see the movie to find out who he plays.
Now, at this point of my journey I was about halfway through and I had began to realize that my list kinda…sucked. I had started it because my movie watching going into the summer was off. I had not been watching as many movies as I normally would. Hence, this project. But about July I started realizing that there was a reason I hadn’t seen most of these movies….because they sucked. Now we are finally getting somewhere. In my journey to watch 100 Movies I’ve Never Seen Before, I watched a grand total of 32 in the month of June and the last one of June was a real sucker.
